NVADACA accepts scholarship applications from students enrolled in the 30 schools listed by the Virginia High School League (VHSL) as: regions 1 through 5, and George Mason High School in Falls Church.
Interested applicants should:
- Download the application to their computer
- Fill in the application
- Applicants must email their application to the designated school official in their respective high school rather than providing a paper copy.
- Applicants can type in their name and their parent’s name on the application. This will serve as the signature certifying the information contained in the application is correct and true.
- Writers can email the letter of recommendation directly to the designated school official. The applicant should provide this person with the name and email address of the school official.
- Applicants must include an electronic unofficial copy of their transcript with the application.
- Applicants must write only on one page when composing their essay.

The scholarships are named for former Northern Virginia educators. In 2020, NVADACA awarded twenty-six scholarships of $4,000 each to graduating seniors in Northern Virginia high schools.
