About Us

 

Northern Virginia Athletic Directors, Administrators, and Coaches Association (NVADACA) is a group dedicated to providing scholarships to local student athletes pursuing college degrees.  Since 1980, NVADACA has awarded more than $1,660,000 to students to further their college education.

Our Story

2026 marks NVADACA’s 50th anniversary since our founding and 46th year of providing Scholarships.  While times have changed, NVADACA has remained dedicated to investing in student futures by providing as many as 27 scholarships per year.​

Our Mission

NVADACA’s mission is to assist public school student athletes in Northern Virginia by providing college scholarships and to preserve the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place of these programs in the curricula of Northern Virginia high schools.

Our Impact

NVADACA has assisted over 620 students with over ONE MILLION SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS in scholarships during the past 50 years.

Leadership

NVADACA is led by a group of Board Members who are mainly retired leaders from the public schools along with members of the private sector who care deeply about encouraging students.  See List of Board members.

Fundraising Activities

1. In addition to the funds collected from membership dues, we are dependent on contributions and financial support of friends, businesses, and the professional community.

2. Each year NVADACA hosts a golf tournament to support our scholarship program.
